Lazy Girl Brownies

You know when people say they have a sweet tooth?

Well let me introduce you to the girl that has a saber-sweet tooth.

Oh wait, that’s me. No shame. No. Shame. No shame in eating sugar out of the bag with a spoon. Eating half a jar of honey at once. Legitimately eating 20 cookies at once–I have witnesses, do you really want to test me?–oh mhm and then also downing half a batch of brownies.

To be honest, not much has changed.

HOLD THE PHONE you claim you’re a “fit foodie” Julia…you…wait…huh…wait WHAT?!

I’m sending zen vibes over. Zennnnn. Don’t ya worry, be happy.

See, you can down half a batch of brownies… As long as they’re fit foodie brownies. Aha, you starting to get the drift by now? 😉

Now as I introduce you to an alternate dimension I like to call fit foodie desserts, I thought I’d start with a dead simple one. Because to be honest, even though some (cakes, tarts, pancakes, cookies, etc.) treats are freaking fabulous, they can get a bit lengthy in time and ingredients. But get this,

These brownies have TWO INGREDIENTS.

And no, they’re not brownie batter and eggs 😉 Dont you try and find any loopholes.

Fudgy Fit Foodie Brownies

Ingredients:

-3 (really) overripe medium bananas

-1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa/cacao powder

-Optional: 1 tsp baking powder (for a fluffier texture) and any nuts, cacao nibs, or other goodies.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.

Blend the bananas to a smooth consistency (I like to use a hand blender just because it’s easier to clean up, but any will do). Add in the cacao and either stir or blend until it’s fully mixed in.

Pour your batter–ooh by the way, taste it! It. Is. Heaven.–into a small square/rectangle baking pan and place it in the oven. Around 20 minutes later,

Oh my gosh yes.

And some almond butter, coconut, and cacao later,

Oh my gosh YES.

And those are healthy???

Every once in a while I’ll even shock myself with the fit teen foodie power.

Well the more power to you, because these brownies=life. Pair it with a creamy nut butter, some toppings, and you’ve got yourself a decadent dessert you can have for breakfast. And lunch. And dinner. And everything in between.

I’ll stop gabbing and you can get to baking.

And eating. Eating is important.

This looks AMAZING!!! You’re so true in that eating healthy doesn’t mean eating bland stuff. You can equally eat tasty food while still being healthy!! Also, I love the tone of your blog – your jokes and sarcasm really make your blog post that much more enjoyable to read.

    Xoxo,

Do the bananas have to be overripe, or is semi ripe/some spots also OK? I’m going to try this nevertheless!

    1. The more ripe the better, since they’ll be more sweet XP but I say give it a try! Let me know how it goes! 🙂
